Undoubtedly, she is one of Nigeria's finest, and a testament to that is that she is an ex-beauty queen,and most probably the longest reigning queen so far in the almanac of the Miss Nigeria beauty queen pageant, she was a queen for all of 6 years, tall, beautiful and well-structured Ene Maya Lawani the Benue born beauty clocked a year older on January 12,2011 and to mark it, instead of spending lavishly she decided to be her brother's keeper and show love to the less priviledged, she spent a few hours with the kids at the HEART OF GOLD HOSPICE in Surulere,Lagos, where the lady with the heart of gold Mrs Laja Adedoyin and her fantastic staff members, take care of kids that have been abandoned by their parents and that many other charity homes have refused to accept because they need special care. Ene and a few of her friends, with gifts in hand went to mark the special day in her life with those who really needed the attention.
Later in the day, she hosted a few of her very beautiful  friends who couldn't make the first part of celebration to a classy dinner at the very prestigious New Federal Palace Hotel on the Island, in attendance was another ex-beauty queen, who seem not to be aging and is becoming more beautiful by the day-Anita Iseghohi who was the MBGN 2004,also there, were two of Nigeria's emerging design power house Ohimai Atafo-the fashion artist behind the label MAI INSPIRED and Ugonna Omeruo of the House of Nwocha fame, others there were Freda Edewor Francis,Juliet Morgan,Ruth Obih who is the boss at RURU Tunics where Ene is the face of the brand and many other friends.
