OMOTOLA WITH ONE OF THE TRANSFORMED WIDOWS |
If we all endeavor to at least touch 1 life (Person) a day then we would have been able to fulfill that injunction by God to be our brother's keeper. We must commend our very own Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde who in our estimation might probably be one of the greatest personalities/Talent (Actress/Entertainer/Philanthropist) to have hailed from Nigeria, Africa. Not many well to do, would have time to hobnob with the so called 'less privileged', you cannot know the feeling of not having your wife, husband around you until you have lost one of them. So for her to bring joy to the hearts of these 20 widows, we commend her.

Award winning screen goddess and movie star Omotola Jalade Ekeinde exhibited grace and love as she pampered 20 widows, in remembrance of her mother who passed 10 years ago, at this year's “Give and let Give” her yearly charity programme, a subsidiary of OYEP ( OMOTOLA YOUTH EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME).
This particular programme was designed by Mrs. Ekeinde and her Team to encourage and restore the self esteem of widows.
The screen goddess who is well known for her charitable work and activism- She is a UN ambassador, Amnesty international activist and the founder of OYEP, said “she imagined doing something she wished she ,or someone could have done for her mother who was a widow for 10 years before passing in 2001. “ If you give these women money, they‘ll spend it all on their kids. This time, it’s about them. This is one thing I would have loved to do for my mother, pamper her and remind her how beautiful she is and appreciated.
The 20 widows started off on DECEMBER 9, 2012 when they all went to up mobile Freshlook Spa and celebrity choice H and H Spa for facials, massages e.t.c Next the ladies moved to Make Me Salon where award winning celebrity Hair Stylist Ugo Igbokwe is the hair magician in charge, they then proceeded to Debbie Ogunjobi’s Everywoman Boutique for a shopping spree.
