Nigeria's former weapon of mass destruction & goleador extraordinary, Obafemi Martins, who plies his trade for the Seattle Sounders FC is now the proud father of a bouncing baby boy, courtesy of his beau, Abigail Barwuah the older sibling of Milan's forward and Italian football star Mario Balotelli.


The new addition came on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, whilst this is the 1st baby between the couple, this would be Obafemi's 3rd child. The 2 older ones are from 2 other different ladies. It just shows that as prolific as the Obafemi is in front of goal, so also he is when it comes to scoring the other type of goal.

According to our normally very reliable source, the Captain of the Gold winning Nigeria, Africa Nations Cup AFCON 2013 team, has just finished his multimillion Naira valued house somewhere on the Island in Lagos, Nigeria. The house from what we were told is a palace to behold, a statement in class and is money well spent. It is worth all of the half a billion Naira said to have been spent in building it. As soon as we can lay our good hands on the picture of the humongous edifice we would post it for all your viewing pleasure. 

Not just this oooooo, Captain fantastic, who plies his trade as a defender with one of the giants of football in Turkey, Fenerbahce FC to be more precise has recently also added to his already impressive & intimidating garage. The new car of choice is a customized, silver coloured Ferrari 458 Spider (see picture of above). This car that does 0-100km/h in under 3.4 seconds was first unveiled by Ferrari in 2011 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. It is the racing car giant's mid-engined sports car. It has won consecutive awards as the best cabrio by 2 different top rated motor magazines.

The car must have set him back by about $257,000 to 320,000 dollars depending on what would have been added to personalize the monster. JY as he is known by his close pals, is a known car buff and he already has in his collection the likes of the Mercedes Benz G63 Wagon, An Audi Q7, Porsche Panamera S turbo, a Bentley Continental GT, said to be the speediest of the Bentleys, Mercedes Benz ML AMG & Range Rover Sport Supercharged. 

To even celebrate JY as a worthy son of the soil: For being a good ambassador of his home state, the Governor of his state, in the person of His Excellency Rotimi Amaechi, was said to have recently named an academy said to be worth several billions of Naira after him and he would also enjoy some other perks that we are still trying to find out.

JY by our own personal experience and from the snippets we have also gotten from here & there, is one of the most generous human-beings on the face of this earth. His philanthropic nature has been felt by several charity homes around the country.  One of the most prominent thespians in America, Kerry Washington took the word secret to another level with her secret wedding to San Francisco 49ners Cornerback, Nnamdi Ezenwa Asomugha

The secret wedding apparently happened last month in Idaho, June 24, 2013 to be more precise. The duo are said to have being an item since sometimes last year and they kept the relationship totally under the radar. Nnamdi is 31 and his wife is 36 and a very big name in acting. She was the lead actress in the award winning Django unchained movie.  She's currently on the cover of the August edition of Vanity Fair Magazine.

This is the first for the duo.

EX-INTERNATIONAL THOMPSON OLIHA IS DEAD!!!

Former Nigerian Ex-International Thompson Oliha reportedly died this morning in Ilorin, Kwara State. 

The gentleman footballer gave up the ghost very early this morning, Sunday, June 30, 2013 at about 4.05am, at the Yusjib Industrial Medicare Hospital, Ilorin, Kwara State. He was a member of the Super Eagles Africa Nations Cup winning Squad of Tunisia 1994. 

Born on October 4, 1968, Mr. Oliha would have clocked 45 in October of this year, if not for his untimely death. He apparently slumped inside the toilet and was immediately rushed to the hospital by his wife Irish Oliha, but he had given up the ghost before help could come his way. 

He was the head coach of the Kwara Football Academy (KFA) in Ilorin, Kwara State as at the time of his death.  No information yet on what could be the probable cause of death.

VICTOR MOSES & TAYE TAIWO- PLS PLS WHAT'S THE TRUTH?

Some days back we came across some messages, where some Nigerian's were either joking or claiming that Russia based Nigerian left full-back Taye Taiwo was celebrating his so called ''25th'' birthday in Russia, while his supposed twin who lives in Nigeria was celebrating his ''33rd''. It was hilarious in a way, but also got us curious. Could Taye Taiwo have lied all this years and given a football age, that we all took hook, line & sinker? Does that mean that the average Nigerian footballers age including those now retired cannot be less than plus 10 of whatever age they are claiming. Meaning someone like KN is actually in his late 40's going on early 50's or AO about 40 going on to 45? Would this be the reason that many of them have not been able to really excel like they should. Is there no way, one can detect the actual (real age). If truly Taye is really 33 years old, it must mean he would soon be retiring soon and no wonder the ''laws of diminishing returns'' has set in. 

In the case of Victor Moses, who is having one of the best seasons of his life in football right now. Having moved from a relatively small football club in England, to one of the top 3 best in the UK & one of the best in Europe presently, in the shape of Chelsea FC of England. The young man contributed so well to his club achievements in only his first season there. Not forgetting he was also fantastic in Nigeria's Nations Cup win in South Africa earlier this year. The gist currently going on about is that contrary to his claim to have lost his parents a few years ago to sectarian riots in the Northern parts of Nigeria (Kaduna State to be more precise). That claim might well be very farfetched and totally away from the truth. According to some reports, his parents are said to be hale & hearty, very alive in Edo State of Nigeria presently. 

According to the old media reports Mr & Mrs Austine & Josephine Moses- supposed parents of Victor Moses, who were said to be missionaries and were supposedly killed in 2002 during the sectarian riots in Kaduna. The 11 year old had gone out to play football, only to return to a home already destroyed and parents murdered. Victor Moses hence had to travel to the UK to seek for asylum. And the rest his now history. 

With this new discovery now as claimed by Sunday Express of Sunday, May 26 to June 1, 2013 on their page 6. So what is the true situation of things? What does Victor Moses have to say about what has been discovered? Is this a case of doing all one could do, to seek for the golden fleece abroad?

He is reportedly worth about £165 Million Pounds. 

Mr. Beckham played for his country's national team for all of 115 times, a record in itself. Played 394 times for Man Utd scoring 85 goals, winning 1 Champion's league title & 6 EPL titles, also played 115 times for Real Madrid scoring 20 goals, played 33 times for AC Milan, scoring 2 goals, he played 118 times for the LA Galaxy, scoring another 20 goals and for his final club PSG of France 11 games and no goals scored, winning the Ligue 1 cup with the team. He is the only footballer to have won league titles in 4 different countries. 

He is married to former singer-Spice Girls and now a celebrated designer- Victoria ''Posh'' Beckham and they have 4 kids between them, 3 boys-Brooklyn, Romeo & Cruz & a girl-Harper 7.

BRITISH/NIGERIAN IS THE STRONGEST MAN IN WORLD FOOTBALL

His full name is Saheed Adebayo Akinfenwa and he is 30 years old and plays for Northampton Town in the English League 2. At 5ft 10(1.80m) and weighing 16 stone , that's about 86 kg, he has gotten the nickname 'Beast' maybe because of his bulk. But he is said to be the strongest footballer in the world, at least according to the video game FIFA 13. . 

He has bench pressed 120kg,140kg,175kg & 180 kg like it is nothing. This season alone till date, he has scored 16 goals for his league 2 team. His preferred nos is 10. From the age of 18 till now he has gone through many clubs.  In the past 8 years he has played for 10 clubs, in one year alone he changed club 4 times.

 Adaora Akubilo is the young and extraordinarily gorgeous Nigerian-American doing us proud in God's own country.
