The self-styled foremost home of luxury has just released their new TVC that features acts like veteran thespian of note and a Commissioner in the administration of Dr Emmanuel Uguaghan, the executive Governor of Delta State, in the person of the very handsome & suave Commissioner for Tourism & Culture, Richard Mofe-Damijo, alongside him is one of Nigeria's most recognized thespian in the whole universe, in the person of Africa's own Julia Roberts, the one and only Genevieve Nnaji, who looked super gorgeous in her red outfit. 

That's not all, the 40 seconds plus TVC which is already on Youtube and would soon start airing on CNN, but is already on our very own Channels TV, arguably Nigeria's most authentic News Station also features the longest reigning Nigerian beauty queen, former Miss Nigeria 2004 Ene Maya-Lawani,  Nigeria's rave of the moment, top celebutante & show host, that was featured prominently in the last Tatler UK Magazine write-up titled ''Nigerians have arrived'' Eku Georgina Edewor-Thorley. Last but not the least of the cast of the TVC is none other than, one of the best models to have come out Nigeria in the person of the vivacious Ojy Okpe.

We nearly forgot about the brains behind the brand himself, the irrepressible, ever suave style god himself ''Mr John Obayuwana'', who also appeared in the TVC looking as always the ''epitome of class, charm and distinction. 

The stylish video we heard was shot entirely in Dubai, UAE, as can be seen by the backdrop of the Burj Khalifa behind Genevieve Nnaji. The place of  choice is the heavenly 5-star Armani Hotel in Dubai & it was shot by award winning video director Sesan Ogunro and the shoot was styled by his very multi-talented sister Fade Ogunro.  The TVC is tagged ''Celebration'' as it celebrates those who have made a mark or 2 in their chosen field of endeavor and have thought to reward themselves for very well deserved success.

KOME MOFE-DAMIJO & ENIOLA ABIODUN PICK DECEMBER 2013 DATES

Come Thursday, December 12 and Saturday, December 14, 2013 in Lagos, Nigeria. The families of Eniola Abiodun and that of Kome Mofe-Damijo, the adorable 2nd son of the ace-thespian and Commissioner in Delta State, Richard Mofe-Damijo would be joined together in holy matrimony.

Though the invitation cards are still on their way, we can tell you for a fact that the white wedding which is for the latter date, Saturday, December 14, 2013 would hold at the spectacular church auditorium of the Household of God Church, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos; where the very flamboyant orator of note, author, politician and man of God, Pastor Kris Okotie presides as the head pastor. The traditional ceremonies, would have held on the Thursday preceding the Saturday, venue of which we haven't yet ascertained.

The groom's dad, veteran and award winning actor and Commissioner in the Delta State Government (Commissioner for Tourism & Culture), Richard Mofe-Damijo, incidentally is a Sunday school teacher at the Household Church, where the Groom and his bride met several years back.

According to the story, growing up Kome & Eniola were students at the Sunday School of the Household of God Church at the same time and it was from here that a friendship developed, and from likeness as friends it later became a love match much more later in their lives. Kome schooled at the prestigious King's College, before proceeding to Canada for his University education, he thereafter moved to Canada for his masters. Eniola on her own had her education from the Primary level to the Secondary level here in Nigeria, then off to the UK for her University degree.

Both were in Nigeria, when Kome's dad RMD clocked 50, 2 years ago and had a celebration. It was at the celebration that they met again and they supposedly rekindled the flames of affection & love for each other and now which is leading to the nuptial ceremonies and would be cemented officially come end of the year.

While Kome 29, is the second son of RMD, the eldest being Brume, he also has 2 kids from his wife, Jumobi Mofe-Damijo, one of which is Taiga, he also adopted the highly cerebral & gorgeous daughter of his late wife, MEE, in the person of Onome.  The gorgeous Eniola is 27 year old.

THE STARS SHINE DOWN AT THE LAUNCH OF AFRICAMAGIC & MULTICHOICE AFRICA'S NEW INITIATIVE

 At two gala events held last night, in Lagos and Nairobi, AfricaMagic and MultiChoice Africa presented their latest joint initiative THE AFRICAMAGIC VIEWERS’ CHOICE AWARDS. The exciting announcement was made during a special episode of the popular AfricaMagic magazine show Jara, which is screened to DStv audiences in 47 countries across the continent.

Created to celebrate African film and television talent, both in front of and behind the cameras, the Awards will feature several special categories in which viewers will decide the winners directly, alongside several professionally judged categories.

In total, 28 awards in 26 categories will be awarded ranging from acting and directing to script-writing and cinematography. Other fields which will be honored include editing, make-up, sound, lighting and costuming among others. In addition the awards will feature two categories destined to become annual talking points – the Industry Merit Award and the TrailBlazer of the Year Award.

Awards will be handed out at two separate events to be held in March 2013 in Lagos – the first event will be dedicated to standout technical accomplishments while the main event will be a glittering, glamourous gala night. Both events will be screened to DStv audiences across the continent with the gala being screened live.

In order to ensure that the awards are transparent, fair and credible, AfricaMagic has recruited leading and respected industry veteran Femi Odugbemi to take on the role of executive judge and has confirmed that all the awards will be verified by an independent auditing company to be appointed shortly.

Commenting on the Awards, M-Net Africa Managing Director Biola Alabi is confident that this is an opportunity to build a pan-African event that is both relevant to industry professionals and vastly entertaining to fans.

“It has been part of our plan to create a specific event that honors, celebrates and recognizes those people who are giving so much of their talent and creativity to ensuring the popularity and evolution of African film and TV. And to do this in partnership with MultiChoice illustrates the level to which both companies value this industry and are willing to invest in its future.”

She went on to say, “Following the successful launch earlier this year of an expanded line-up of AfricaMagic channels, we are now totally focused on these Awards. We are aiming to create a platform that showcases and supports the film and television community, while simultaneously entertaining and engaging viewers. While we are aware that there are challenges ahead we are committed to the success of this initiative as we truly believe it will contribute positively to the efforts of filmmakers from Lagos to Nairobi, Lusaka to Kampala and all across Africa.”
